Homer Central School District recently embarked on a groundbreaking initiative designed to make music education as accessible as possible to all students!

With a goal of more inclusion, the district now offers families the opportunity to rent musical instruments at no cost. To participate in the program, students and their families are required to sign a contract committing to the care of the instrument, regular practice, and participation in music-related activities throughout the school year.

Studies have shown that playing an instrument can enhance cognitive development, improve time management and organizational skills, boost teamwork, and increase academic performance.

The district would like to invite any interested student to explore the many opportunities and instruments this new program has to offer!
